About Cheers

More than 99% of the land used to grow hops in the United States—and more than 25% across the globe—is located within the Pacific Northwest. Yet in just five of the last ten years, Oregon lost 4% of its farmland to fragmentation and development.

The Oregon Agricultural Trust (OAT) is fighting back with Cheers to the Land. This annual campaign brings craft beverage makers together to celebrate Oregon-grown ingredients with specialty brews that support local farmers and farmland protection efforts across Oregon.

Each year, OAT invites brewers from around the state to create new beverages with ingredients grown on Oregon farms, as a way to raise awareness for and directly support the work of protecting Oregon’s agricultural lands. Specialty Cheers beers and ciders will be released on October 10, with celebrations and events happening all month long.
