Cheers
to the Land
Oregon farmland is under threat. Oregon’s craft beverage industry is joining the fight to protect it.
More than 99% of the land used to grow hops in the United States—and more than 25% across the globe—is located within the Pacific Northwest. Yet in just five of the last ten years, Oregon lost 4% of its farmland to fragmentation and development.
The Oregon Agricultural Trust (OAT) is fighting back with Cheers to the Land. This annual campaign brings craft beverage makers together to celebrate Oregon-grown ingredients with specialty brews that support local farmers and farmland protection efforts across Oregon.
We’re on a mission to help the food and beverage industry celebrate, support and help protect Oregon farmland and farmers for generations to come.
Cheers to the Land 2026 kicks off October 10
Each year, OAT invites brewers around the state to create new beverages with ingredients grown on Oregon farms. Specialty Cheers brews are released around National Farmer’s Day every October.
Stay tuned for news about this year’s festivals and tapping events, coming to Portland, Corvallis, Eugene and Lincoln City starting on October 10!
